Satisfied By Love...Day 7

Psalm 107:9 "For He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things."

Thinking on the good things today...
#96  Saying no to the cravings today, so far
#97  A weekend alone with our little one-a confidence builder
#98  Safe arrival of my husband after a weekend away
#99  A church filled with women who love Jesus, desire to encourage other women, and long for true fellowship where people can be messy and still be loved.
#100  A woman sharing her story and touching hearts and letting God work through her hurt.
#101  God at work in the lives of college students, our soon to be leaders
#102  Bright sun and cooler temperatures
#103  Scents of Fall candles-pumpkin, cinnamon, spice, vanilla...
#104  An extra hour of sleep!  (Or for catching up on some of my blogging sisters!)
#105  Visits with Grammas during our weekend together
#106  Slow cooker meals
#107  A reminder that I can't earn what He has already given me.

I needed the reminder last night.  To occupy my attention.  To help me start over.  To break the cycle-again.  To remember that God has already sent His Son.  Jesus has already lived, died, and risen.  And I have received Him.  It can't be undone.  So when I think, "I'll start over tomorrow" or "I've already messed this day up, might as well keep going" I'm giving into the flesh and believing lies.  Thinking that only a day of perfect choices and no mistakes and not eating too much will allow His love into my life.

I don't have to wait until tomorrow and attempt to live a perfect day from start to finish to know I have His love.  He has given it freely already!  A gift.  He doesn't take it back.  I cannot earn what He has already given to me.  So He draws me in again.  Forgives.  Loves.  Teaches.  Fills.

When I am thirsty, stop and ask, "What am I thirsty for?"  And when I ask HIM, I know He will fill my thirst, my hunger, with good things.  They can only come from Him.

Thank you for this reminder Lord.  For softening my heart again.  For using me anyway and reminding me that you use us messy.  The mess is what makes us usable and allows the Holy Spirit to work in us and show Your glory.  So thank you for the mess Father.  Lead me...
