"By the grace of God we sometimes have a chance to stand where we fell before."
Pastor Steve said this at our morning service after telling a story. He was asked what he believed and responded in a way that didn't introduce her to Jesus.
And I thought about it...
When have I fallen?
Not sharing when I should have.
Saying yes to the flesh instead of choosing life in Christ.
Reacting by emotion instead of the fruit of the Spirit.
Turning the other way instead of stopping to help.
Pointing a finger instead of looking in the mirror.
Living by a spirit of fear instead of love and power.
Time passed and she was in a hard season and this time he didn't miss the opportunity.
Then we received communion together and sang this song:

I have fallen but...
I am healed by the life that He gave. His body. His blood.
I am healed by His sacrifice.
I am healed by His grace.
So I can stand now. And maybe God will lead me to the places I fell before and there will be a new opportunity to show them who He is.
Isaiah 53:5
But He was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.
Satisfied by His love that led Him to give it all.
All I can say today, Lord, is thank you.
