I knew these days would come in motherhood...a load in the dryer, a load in the washer, a load of dishes waiting, no shower yet, cleaned up poop in the bathtub and then cleaned the bathtub and then cleaned the child waiting naked on the floor...
and I said thank you. That I have clothes and a washer and dryer. That I have a bathtub and running water. That I have a child that is healthy and can sit and splash and play-among other things-in the bathtub.
And when I do that I know I am carrying out God's will. He says, "Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." So much time spent wondering what God's will is for me. What my purpose is. Today I know it is these words from 1 Thessalonians. I can do the same thing tomorrow and know I am carrying out God's will for me and my purpose for him.
